Dominated by ragged mountains and blessed with bountiful vineyards perched on hillslopes amidst age-old cypress trees and olive groves, Nemea offers one of the most stunning landscapes in the Peloponnese. This lush upland valley, located midway between the towns of Corinth and Argos, has a long history. In 2003, Semeli built a modern, stylishly designed winery set amidst company-owned vineyards in Koutsi, Corinthia. This state-of-the-art 4,000m² facility, is a benchmark winery at a national level both in terms of innovative layout and excellent services. Designed with respect to the natural environment and built on a vineyard covered hillslope with a long reputation of producing vintage grapes, the Semeli winery reflects our holistic approach to modern winemaking

The renovated winery provides high standard accommodations and hotel amenities additional to a wide range of experimental facilities… it integrates a great natural landscape in the heart of Nemea region with beautiful agriculture activities, the processing of grapes into wine, the wine maturing, wine taste in the wooden old cellar space, Greek gastronomy and exceptional rooms and suites. Twelve double rooms, each with private ample outside space, are spread out in two groups over the estate. All are individually furnished to echo a relaxed environment in size, comfort and style.

The old stone, the wood, the beautiful and well-preserved barrels as well as all the old objects of the winery were utilized during the renovation. The area where the wine matures, and ages was completely redesigned to offer new, intense and experiential experiences. The tasting and dining room feature beautifully designed showcases filled with bottles of wine creating a very special and intense space while showcasing the wines like jewels. Close to this area is an easily accessible space with old winemaking artefacts that function as a gallery. On the ground floor, the living rooms with imposing fireplaces, the dining tables next to the kitchen, a second wine tasting and sales area as well as the beautiful hospitality rooms complete the experience.
