A family house located in Palaio Psyhico, the iHouse took its name from the shape of the main elevation which resembles the letter “I”. The design was inspired by the location’s surrounding urban environment, the natural topography of the area and the narrow nature of the development’s plot. A defining feature of this residence is its impressive and detailed facade. The intensity of the facade is made all the more striking when contrasted with the simple white lines and humbler surfaces of the remaining exterior.
Inside is the living space with semi-open kitchen and four master bedrooms. The interior was organised along the design principle of capturing continuous and seamless movement between enclosed, semi-enclosed and open spaces. In the busy urban environment, the iHouse stands gracefully as a calm and beautiful living space, whether experienced from the inside or out.
